It was my first time in Cambridge Day, one of the biggest events for English language teachers in Brazil. I was amazed to know that almost all of the speakers based their lectures in concepts which I not only believe in, but also I am putting into practice in We World English. It means that I am paving my project with the best and most up-to-date practices of teaching in the world. That's really awesome!
Well, the concepts I am talking about are the 21st century skills, which are: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, digital literacy, flexibility, leadership, initiative, productivity and social skills.
In We World English, we use pedagogic materials made to work on these skills, mainly with children from 3 to 12 years old. We also do activities that reinforce good values such as kindness, gratitude, respect, and so on.
We know that parents are responsible for children's education but, when kids are exposed to this kind of content also at school from the very beginning of life, they are more likely to become good citizens and professionals in the future. That's my belief and my bet! And as an educator, I am going for that!
